Chasing ... Building

"Instead of chasing the light, build a vessel."

Shoshi:.,,so the vessel will lead you to "the light" ..( like the end of the tunnel .."light " will appear,), ?

Michelle: No. So when the light comes, it has where to be.

Choni: Because the light is ever present anyways, chasing does not really change anything. All that's needed to reveal it is to build a vessel. It's similar to the idea that your home is probably permeated with radio waves and all that's needed to reveal these waves is a radio.

    Marlene: Bom dia choni

Batya: Or maybe just apply your true light into the already built vessel...

    Batya: Just be

Choni: Neat thought Batya. I'd put it slightly differently, apply the already built vessel to the true light.

Batya: That is because you speak from the perspective of being of the masculine energy : )

Choni: Batya, Please teach me, why would it be masculine to the vessel and feminine to apply the light? It my impression that only the vessel can be applied. The light is ever present regardless.

Batya: I am not sure why I said it that way. I only know the strong words of the Rebbe from the sicha of koach Nissan. Now that the work is done, all that is needed is to put the lights of tohu into the vessels of tikkun. The lights usually represent the masculine energy known or the soul known as MA in kabbalistic terminology and the vessels as the feminine, the body known as BAN.

Batya: Perhaps it means that when we become enlightened we should become one with the knowledge

Choni: Yeah Batya, if you would study the original source material in Etz Chaim you'd have a smoother understanding of the topic. The lights never broke. They remained in Atzilus. Only the vessels broke and then mere sparks of the lights followed the vessels down to BY"A to give them some semblance of life. When the sparks/shards are elevated back to Atzilus, the vessels reconstitute, develop and mature (Ibur, Yenikah, Mochin). Then they automatically pickup their prior B"N lights, along with new M"H lights (to further strengthen them, so the breakage does not recur). At the moment, it's my understanding that lights don't need to be "put" into the vessels. Their repaired state picks up the light automatically.

Batya: Thank you, very nourishing to know.

Batya: Can you expand on ibur, yenika and mochin ?

Choni: Batya, B"H I hope you expand on this for you tomorrow. It's a bit late and I need to attend to a few things.

    Batya: Np

Choni: Batya, The very center of the "tikkun" process is fixing Z"A (where the main breakage of vessels happened). Being that Z"A is the "Adam HaElyon" he's in a state (relative to his spiritual level) of D'mus Adam. Therefore, words that describe human growth and development can be borrowed to describe his "Tikkun" process. Ibur, yenika and mochin simply mean pregnancy, nurturing and maturity. Inside the Yesod of Binah/T'vunah there's a pregnancy process where the shards & sparks (which have been elevated) and lights of B"N are matched with the lights of M"H. Then Z"A is born and first nurtured by Atik Yomin's Da'adei Behama which hang out into Olam Habriyah (highest reaches lowest idea) where he's dropped off into at birth and then Z"A is raised up to Chagas of T'vuna (her chest area) to be nurtured by her Da'adei Adam back in Atzilus. Then he continually grows, gaining in intelligence (mochin), until his intelligence matures - which is the goal and then he's at a state a of "Tikkun". Of course this is a pattern (not a fixed dogma) so there are constantly aspects and aspects of Z"A simultaneously in different states of ibur, yenika and mochin. I hope this helps you.

    Batya: Thank you

Batya: I have much to meditate on here

Choni: With pleasure Batya. I know there are some who disagree with me on principal, but, it has been my personal life experience that an education in Chassidus (at least as it's usually taught), though it helps a lot, does not entirely substitute for an education in Kisvei HaAri or other areas of classical Kabbalah. Wishing you much blessing and happiness in your continued spiritual growth.
