Tune In

Don't be so spiritually tuned in,
That you're humanly tuned out.

BN: Light should be illuminating, not blinding.

Choni Elchonon Kihleel: That's right !

ES:Speaks to me!...Far from Spiritually tuned in. I have however been told I need to "Lighten up. ;)

Choni Elchonon Kihleel: In what way?

ES: Who knows what anyone means when they say "Lighten up?" Anything from play with some children, go to a movie, get drunk..;)

Choni Elchonon Kihleel: Just be yourself. Maybe, it's not a question of you lightening up. Rather, it's a question of others around you deepening.

    ES: or both....

BN: If G-d had wanted us to take every situation seriously, would we not lack the ability to expeience joy and pleasure, and to laugh?

ZYP: well said... always good to have a compass when travelling

Choni Elchonon Kihleel: And we're always traveling ... LOL :)

BN: I wish I could have a GPS chip implanted. I often lose my sense of direction and end up getting nowhere fast.

Choni Elchonon Kihleel: don't we all !

Choni Elchonon Kihleel: GPS = G-d Positioning System

BN: My journey through life does, however, include a lot of time spent taking the scenic route (What my grandfather used to call it when he was completely lost), but that can result in some fascinating sights and insights.

Choni Elchonon Kihleel: I know what you mean

SRD: very nice Choni people forget that the most important part of spirituality is Zedaka giving and caring for Hashems creation brings Neshama Gdola ♥

Choni Elchonon Kihleel: Exactly, SRD. This is why I wrote this phrase, which just popped out of my mouth during hitbodedut. It was really to give myself a bit of "mussar" (encouragement to to change) to arouse myself to improve in those areas.

SRD: keep up the good work ♥

Choni Elchonon Kihleel: Thank you for the encouragement.

Choni Elchonon Kihleel: You as well ! Somehow, you manage to get a lot of people from all over the world involved in FB Torah discussions.

SRD: We Jews are the light of the Nations !!

Choni Elchonon Kihleel: Yes, this is true. It's an exciting role.

SRD: "Nachon" also our obligation we can do it with love others take it as a Job and that have no blessing.

Choni Elchonon Kihleel: There's a lot to be said for attitude.

RJ: ‎@SRD, I agree with most of what you say and certainly with Choni. But I don't think Sultana's comment is entirely right if I have understood it correctly. I think it comes naturally to some but not to others. Some people Need to know that the 'rule boxes' are being ticked; on the other hand ,after the grief of plugging on sometimes there comes a lightness. I've just seen it happen, thats all.

DC: sage advice, Choni! It's important to be in touch with both our human and spiritual side. I think it would be impossible for us to exist with one and not the other... or maybe we would exist, but not be happy?

RJ: actually, just thinking about it....are they not one and the same?

AFL: That sounds like what I heard: "Don't be so heavenly minded that you are no earthly good."

AFL: however, agrees with Ruth...because in reality...they (i.e., spiritually tuned-in and humanly tuned-in) ARE INDEED the same thing...

  3. Without sounding too haughty, I certainly wish others would deepened! Also the light is blinding until we learn to absorb it.

  4. I also wish others would be deeper in their approach.
