The Laugh

There was once a non-believer who wanted to show off his intelligence to the local Rabbi. So he boasted that he knew how many stars there were in the sky, as if by such complicated knowing he was implying that he had also mastered the knowledge of how they came into existence.

So Rabbi asked him,"How many teeth are in your mouth?"

The non-believer started to count his teeth.

"Ha, ha, ha ...", Reeled the Rabbi in laughter. "You don't even know how many teeth you have and you claim to know how many stars there are."

HDC: Entertainment and Art? :) That's right down my alley well one of 2 or 3 allies... ;) Good job. ;)

Choni Elchonon Kihleel: Thank you so much. Mostly, I try to convey ideas from Jewish Mysticism. It's my hope that it's an effort towards a deeper minded and more loving humanity.

HDC: I love Jewish Mysticism.... ;) I study various religions with my focus on Judaism in hopes of the same thing my friend. ;) I understand.

SRD: Unfortunately a non believer only can think about their ego only a righteous person will be Humble !!

Choni Elchonon Kihleel: To SRD: I agree. That's probably why the non-believer professes that he does not believe. I don't think he's coming from a place of rational analysis. Rather, I think he's blinded by his own ego which feels threatened by the idea that there can be any entity which is bigger than him and can control him.

Choni Elchonon Kihleel: To HDC, Studying spirituality is a great thing ! We are promised in Isaiah that the whole world will one day be filled with the knowledge of G*d as the waters cover the seabed. I'm not sure that on that day, we'll even need to study. It will be more like just seeing what is around us - self evident. However, I think studying (any aspect of reality) today helps as a stepping stone to that day. Keep up the great work. ;)

HDC: Sounds good to me Choni!!! ;) You too. ;)
